Born in 1959 in Shanghai, China, Kit Shing completed her degree at the Shanghai College of Fine Arts by the age of 21. She exhibited her work and won numerous awards in Hong Kong after moving there in 1985. From 1986 to date, Kit traveled extensively, and this had a significant impact on her artistic style which integrates the meditative qualities of Eastern art with the colorful brilliance of Western art. She immigrated to Canada in 1997 and her pieces are now represented by fine art galleries in Alberta and Bristish Columbia. Her works can be found in private and public collections. Generously donated by Paul and Debbie Walker.
