TREVOR HUNT, 7 FOOT BEAR, SALMON AND EAGLE TOTEM
Native Kwaguilth Artist Trevor Hunt was born March 9, 1975.
“As a young artist at the age of 13, Trevor began to sell his original paintings, in Victoria, B,C.
After learning the traditional formlines , he began to carve Kwakiutl art, from his Father Stanley Clifford Hunt, and cousins Tim Alfred, and David Knox. In 1993 he had his first set of prints, in Montreal, and since then has had a new print out every year, as well as many lines of T- shirts,
He has designed many logos, for businesses, on Vancouver Island, and has carved over twenty five poles, including one that stands in the Port Hardy Arena.
Trevor prides himself on carving in the traditional form, while using his own style, which gives his style a unique touch.
Recently, he, among his brother Jason, and cousins, Mervin Child, and Calvin Hunt, carved a massive 52 ft totem pole, that his father was commissioned to do, went down to Argentina, in Canada Square.
To date, he has travelled to Friday Harbour, Washington State, Phoenix Arizona, Tucson Arizona, Seattle, and Vancouver, for art shows, and carving demonstrations.
Teaching the youth to carve is very important to Trevor, so he takes time out to teach the children, of Wagulis School in Fort Rupert, as well as Fort Rupert Elementary, where in 2011 he was asked to donate a drum design for the school, which they now use as there new logo.
Balancing his wife and four children, as well as carving, is a great way to spend your days, as it’s all about doing things that you love.”

Online bidding during the Live Auction is a fast process, and therefore there is no confirmation given - bids will be taken immediately and are irrevocable.
The highest bidder shall be the purchaser upon the completion of bid verification. Bid verification will commence upon the conclusion of a live auction. All winning bidders shall be notified by email within 4 hours of the auction commencing.
No bidder shall retract their bid. In the event of a dispute between two or more bidders, the auctioneer, at his sole discretion may put the lot up for resale to the highest bidder.
A bidder is deemed to have accepted an item when making a bid.
The auctioneer reserves the right to withdraw any lot at any time prior to the time of sale of such lot.
The auctioneer reserves the right not to accept any bid which is only a partial advance over the preceding bid.
The auctioneer may break down or consolidate any lot or lots at his sole discretion.

All lots must be paid for on day of sale by cash, debit (interact), visa, MasterCard or PayPal where acceptable. We do not use the credit card on file as payment, the sole purpose of that card information is to verify the bidder. We only accept credit cards in person or payment with a credit card remotely by way of PayPal. Internet bidders shall have within 4 hours upon receipt of their email notification to pay for their items.
All applicable excise and sales taxes shall be added to the purchase price unless satisfactory proof of exemption is filed with the auction office.
The purchaser is not entitled to possession until all items have been paid for in full. In the event that the purchase prices are not paid within the prescribed time, the auctioneer shall have the right to resell such items in whatever manner he sees fit without notice to the purchaser. Any shortfall from sale plus commission and expenses thereof shall be paid by the purchaser.
All costs and responsibilities of removal shall be borne by the purchaser/bidder within the time prescribed by the auctioneer. The auctioneer may require proof of adequate insurance from the purchaser. The purchaser/bidder herby indemnifies the auctioneer and the vendor against any and all damages arising from the dismantling and removal of any lots.
Any lots not removed within the prescribed time shall be subject to storage, moving, disposal and service charges at the sole risk and expense of the purchaser. All such lots shall be deemed as abandoned and shall be subject to resale for the recovery of such charges. The purchaser shall also be liable for any rent or damages sustained by the auctioneer for failure to remove any lot.
If for any reason, Able Auctions is unable to deliver any or all of an awarded lot or title thereof, the sole liability of Able Auctions shall be the refund of any monies paid on the lot.
It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to remove their items within the prescribed time. Able Auctions will NOT provide any delivery or transport of any nature for live auction items.
