Art “Untitled” An idyllic setting of fishing boats near the shore, this view could be anywhere from British Columbia’s coast to the rocky inlets of Newfoundland. The time of day? Either morning or early evening, before or after a hard day’s fisher-work. It’s a strong piece of Canadiana, with its simplicity of shapes and use of bold color. Rendered in acrylic on canvas, this work of art is 23 ¾” X 18”, painted by Nancy Hennessy, the late sister of Dr. Peter JepsonYoung, whose legacy lives on in Vancouver’s Dr. Peter Centre. Nancy Hennessy was a founding Board member of the Dr. Peter Centre and its first Chair. She passed away in February, 2019, living her life with dignity and courage -- an example of the values of the Centre Nancy helped create. Her depiction of the beach scenes she so loved is valued at “priceless”.
Generously donated by: Nancy Hennessy, late sister of Dr. Peter Jepson-Young
